# Importing Contacts into Mav.next via CSV

> Bulk-load contacts into Mav.next from a CSV — map your columns, confirm TCPA consent, respect daily limits, and retry or cancel an import.

Already have a list of leads? Import them in bulk from a CSV and Mav.next will start working them with the agent you choose.

## Running an import

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload your CSV">
    Under **Settings → Imports**, start a new import and upload your file. A template is available if you want the expected format.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Map your columns">
    Match your spreadsheet's columns to Mav fields — name, phone, email, and any extra details. Mav remembers your mapping so repeat imports are quick.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm consent">
    Toggle the **TCPA consent** confirmation. An import can't proceed until you confirm every contact has consented to be messaged.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the agent">
    Select which [agent](/mav-next/agents-overview) should work the imported contacts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run it">
    Mav validates and loads your contacts, applying the same [compliance checks](/mav-next/scrubs-dnc-blocked-numbers) as any other lead.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Daily limits and pacing

To protect deliverability and stay within sensible sending limits, imports are paced at up to **500 contacts per day** per account. Larger files are accepted and the remainder is automatically picked up on following days.

## Managing an import

* **Track progress** — each import shows its status and how many contacts were processed, skipped (e.g. missing phone or duplicates), or queued.
* **Retry** — re-run an import that hit an error.
* **Cancel** — stop an in-progress import you no longer want.

<Warning>
  Only import contacts who have given TCPA consent to be contacted by automated SMS and calls. You confirm this consent as part of every import. See [TCPA & consent](/mav-next/tcpa-and-consent).
</Warning>
