Mav.next automatically enforces state-specific contact rules — such as stricter calling and texting windows — for states with their own telemarketing laws.

Several U.S. states have their own telemarketing and “mini-TCPA” laws that go beyond the federal rules — often with tighter windows for when consumers may be contacted. Mav.next applies these automatically based on the contact’s location.

States with extra protections

Mav.next enforces stricter contact rules for states including:

• Florida
• Maryland
• New Jersey
• Oklahoma
• Washington

For contacts in these states, Mav narrows outreach to the more conservative window required by that state’s law, on top of the standard texting hours that apply everywhere.

How it’s applied

1. Mav determines the contact's location

   Based on the contact’s phone number and profile.

2. The stricter rule wins

   If a state imposes a narrower contact window than your default texting hours, Mav uses the narrower one.

3. Outreach is held until allowed

   Messages and calls outside the permitted window wait until the contact can be reached compliantly.
